FIRST LOOK: “Black/Green Beam” Converse SHAI 001

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s first signature sneaker with Converse isn’t finished making noise just yet.

The Converse SHAI 001 “Black/Green Beam” has surfaced in first-look images, giving the futuristic signature model one of its cleanest two-tone makeups yet.

The upcoming colorway features a predominantly black upper, while vibrant Green Beam accents appear throughout the tongue and cushioning visible through the outsole. The combination gives the SHAI 001 a stealthy look with just enough neon contrast to stand out on the court.

The “Black/Green Beam” is also notable because it represents one of the first two-tone colorways of the original SHAI 001 construction, alongside the recently surfaced “Ghosted/Daydream Yellow” edition.

“Black/Green Beam”Converse SHAI 001 Release Details

Colorway: Black/Green Beam

Retail Price: $130
Release Date: TBA

Both new colorways have already appeared at select international retailers, although an official U.S. release date has not been announced.

The timing is especially interesting as Gilgeous-Alexander is preparing to move his signature footwear line from Converse to Nike, making these latest SHAI 001 releases potentially part of the final chapter of his Converse signature era.

For fans of the SHAI 001, the “Black/Green Beam” offers a more understated alternative to some of the model’s louder colorways while keeping the futuristic design language that has defined Shai’s first signature sneaker.
